Your First Quilt

These three videos show how to quilt on a domestic sewing machine on a Grace Quilting frame and a Block RockiT 15R longarm machine on a Cutie Table Top Frame.

We apologize that some of the video is not as sharp but it was filmed in 2014 when our cameras were not as good as now. There is still enough good technique to help you through your first quilt.

In Part 2, Kathy shows how to use a pounce and stencil to mark her quilt design. She shares some awesome techniques that really highlight her free motion skills—even on a short arm machine. It’s definitely more challenging than using her Gammill or Q’nique 21 Pro, but it proves that with the right training, skills, and practice, you can quilt beautifully on almost any machine.

In Part 3, Kathy switches to a Block RockiT 15R and Cutie Table top frame. Event though this is on a hoop frame it will is a huge improvement over quilting with a short arm machine.
